Whatβs up! π
Iβm Marco, and Iβm a developer π»
Thatβs it? Thatβs it! No need for fancy titles or buzzwords π
I help companies create software that serves people. Not the other way around π
Software and apps are tools; tools that improve how we work and perform our tasks π
For me, as a tech geek, they are also an end in themselves.
The process of building them from scratch is something Iβm deeply passionate about πͺ
But you, who need results and are short on time, want these tools to work for you.
Let me help you make that happen π«±πΌβπ«²πΌ
At 12 or 13 years old, I started making a living by hacking consoles and doing the famous iPhone jailbreak.
Great start, huh? π€£
Later on, I started repairing phones, computers, and selling imported Chinese smartphones π±
Nothing crazy, but it allowed me to earn money so I wouldn't have to depend on my parents π€·ββοΈ
And having hundreds of clients, I learned pretty early what responsibility means!
Thanks to that, I ended up studying Telecommunications Engineering.
It turned out university was crap π©
A very guided education, little practical learning, and fewer opportunities to do something productive π€¦ββοΈ
I got through my degree and masters quickly, without really knowing what I was going to do afterwards.
During all that time, I balanced my studies while scaling my 'business' π I even trained at phone stores to maximize my skills π€£
I always told myself that development was a hobby, and that it would never be my job.
Until it became my job π€£
That's when it clicked, and I started enjoying it like never before π»πΌ
Since then, I've worked on tons of projects and different teams π»
I've always been open to trying as many technologies as possible, until I decided to become self-employed and work for myself
And here we are!
And so, does the destination matter? Or is it the path we take? I declare that no accomplishment has substance nearly as great as the road used to achieve it. We are not creatures of destinations. It is the journey that shapes us. Our callused feet, our backs strong from carrying the weight of our travels, our eyes open with the fresh delight of experiences lived.
